Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas was adapted from the 1957 iconic children’s book and was released in 2000. Made by Universal Pictures, the movie tells the story of a strange, grumpy, green creature who absolutely hates Christmas. He despises the joy it brings to Whoville and dreads the lead-up to the entire season.

The cranky creature concocts his own plan to “steal” Christmas by dressing up as Father Christmas himself and sneaking into the Who’s houses to take their Christmas tree and festive decorations. However, a meeting with a little person changes his heart, and before you know it, the Grinch’s heart grows, and he joins in the festivities. How the Grinch Stole Christmas is a story of resilience as the Who’s gather to celebrate Christmas amidst it being stolen, and they teach the grumpy Grinch that Christmas comes from the heart and not the store.

2. The Christmas Chronicles
