“Ugh, Boomer” 10 Annoying Daily Habits That Drive Millennial’s Crazy
Millennial’s are the largest generation in the world today, and they are known for their unique perspectives on life, work, and relationships. However, there are certain habits that the boomer generations possess that tend to irritate millennial’s. These habits can range from outdated attitudes to technological incompetence, but they all contribute to the generational gap that exists today.

Unsolicited Opinions

Millennial’s are often bombarded with unsolicited opinions from older generations. While they may have good intentions, these opinions can come across as condescending and out-of-touch. Here are a few examples of unsolicited opinions that really grind millennial’s’ gears.
Social Media Sermons

Many older people seem to have a deep distrust of social media, and they are not shy about sharing their opinions on the matter. Maybe it’s because they believe that a Nigerian prince really does want to share his $3million fortune with them or maybe they just don’t like change. Either way, it makes this Millennial roll her eyes so far back they’ve started saying “yes, Dear” again.
Dietary Dogma

Another area where boomers love to offer unsolicited advice is food! They may lecture millennial’s about the dangers of processed foods, or how we should all be eating more kale. We get it Karen, you only eat three almonds a day – but Millennial’s want fries!
Perpetual Notification Nags

Nothing is more annoying than a phone that won’t stop buzzing. Whether it’s an endless stream of text messages or notifications from social media apps, perpetual notification nags can drive anyone crazy. It’s particularly annoying when Karen from Accounts refuses to put her phone on silent and her husband keeps ringing asking how to work the toaster. Ugh, Boomers.
Chronic App Overload

Another technology faux pas that really grinds millennial’s’ gears is chronic app overload. This is when someone downloads every app under the sun, even if they don’t really need them. Do you really need a 12th game that’s exactly the same as Candy Crush, boomer?
Meeting Marathons

One of the most common complaints among millennial’s is the endless string of meetings that seem to have no end in sight. Whether it’s in person or the never ending Zoom calls, if you can write it in an email Boomer, please don’t keep bothering me.
Email Overkill

Whilst we’re on the subject of emails, you can definitely compile all of your daily emails into one singular send. Millennial’s hate constant communication and Boomer’s seem to love sending one line per email and signing it off with their full name.
Ghosting Galore

One of the most frustrating social faux pas that millennial’s experience is ghosting. This is when someone suddenly stops responding to messages or calls, without any explanation or warning. It can happen in both personal and professional contexts. Boomers don’t mean to ghost, they probably just keep having ”senior moments”…
Over-Sharing Ordeals

Another social faux pas that millennial’s find particularly grating is over-sharing. This is when someone shares too much personal information, too soon, without any regard for the other person’s feelings or boundaries. Karen’s are particularly good at this to get what they want making Millennial’s cringe to high heavens.
Queue Quibbles

Queuing is a quintessential British pastime, but that doesn’t mean millennial’s enjoy it. Waiting in line for extended periods can be frustrating, especially when the queue isn’t moving quickly. There’s always one negative Nancy in the queue trying to rile everyone else up, it never ends well.
